| 第二十三章：艾蒙：偉大的僕人 |
| The four sons of Mosiah left Zarahemla to teach the Lamanites the gospel. | |
| 摩賽亞的四個兒子們離開柴雷罕拉地去向拉曼人宣講福音。 | |
| They each went to a different city. | |
| 他們分別到不同的城市去。 |
| Ammon went to the land of Ishmael. | |
| 艾蒙到以實瑪利地。 | |
| As he entered the city, the Lamanites tied him up and took him to their king, Lamoni. | |
| 他一到那裡，拉曼人就把他綁了起來，帶到拉摩那國王面前。 |
| Ammon told King Lamoni that he wanted to live among the Lamanites. | |
| 艾蒙告訴拉摩那王，他想和拉曼人住在一起。 | |
| Lamoni was pleased and had his men untie Ammon. | |
| 拉摩那王很高興，便叫人將艾蒙鬆開。 |
| Ammon said he would be one of the king’s servants. | |
| 艾蒙說他願意做國王的僕人， | |
| The king sent him to watch his flocks. | |
| 國王就指派他看守他的羊群。 |
| One day while Ammon and some other servants were taking the flocks to get water, Lamanite robbers scattered the animals and tried to steal them. | |
| 有一天，艾蒙和其他僕人帶著羊群去喝水，有些拉曼強盜把羊群驅散了，並想搶走這些羊。 |
| The servants who were with Ammon were scared. | |
| 那些和艾蒙在一起的僕人很害怕， | |
| King Lamoni had killed his other servants who had lost animals to these robbers. | |
| 因為以前有強盜把羊搶走時，拉摩那王都把看守羊群的僕人殺死。 |
| Ammon knew this was his chance to use the Lord’s power to win the hearts of the Lamanites. | |
| 艾蒙知道他可以藉著這次的機會運用主的力量，贏得拉曼人的心， | |
| Then they would listen to his teachings. | |
| 這樣他們就會聆聽他的教導了。 |
| Ammon told the servants that if they gathered the scattered animals, the king would not kill them. | |
| 艾蒙告訴其他僕人，只要把被驅散的羊群再聚集起來，國王就不會殺他們了。 |
| Ammon and the other servants quickly found the animals and drove them back to the watering place. | |
| 艾蒙和其他僕人很快地就找到了羊群，把他們趕回飲水的地方去。 |
| The Lamanite robbers came back. | |
| 拉曼強盜又回來了， | |
| Ammon told the other servants to guard the flocks while he fought the robbers. | |
| 艾蒙要其他的僕人看守羊群，他自己去跟強盜打鬥。 |
| The Lamanite robbers were not afraid of Ammon. | |
| 拉曼強盜一點也不怕艾蒙， | |
| They thought they could easily kill him. | |
| 他們以為可以輕易地殺死他。 |
| The power of God was with Ammon. | |
| 神的力量與艾蒙同在， | |
| He hit and killed some of the robbers with stones, which made the rest of the robbers very angry. | |
| 他用石塊打那些強盜，殺死了其中的幾個人，這使得其餘的強盜非常生氣。 |
| They tried to kill Ammon with their clubs, but each time a robber lifted a club to hit Ammon, he cut off the robber’s arm. | |
| 他們想要用棒子打死艾蒙，但是每一個舉起棒子要打艾蒙的強盜都被他砍斷了手臂， | |
| Frightened, the robbers ran away. | |
| 強盜於是嚇得逃走了。 |
| The servants took the cut-off arms to King Lamoni and told him what Ammon had done. | |
| 其他的僕人帶著砍下的手臂去見拉摩那王，並把艾蒙所做的事告訴國王。 |
| The king was astonished at Ammon’s great power. | |
| 拉摩那王對艾蒙神奇的力量感到很驚訝。 | |
| He wanted to see Ammon but was afraid to because he thought Ammon was the Great Spirit. | |
| 他很想見艾蒙，但又很害怕，因為他以為艾蒙就是那位偉大的靈。 |
| When Ammon did go in to see him, King Lamoni did not know what to say. | |
| 當艾蒙去見拉摩那王時，國王不知道該說些什麼， | |
| He did not speak for an hour. | |
| 整整一個小時都沒有說話。 |
| The Holy Ghost helped Ammon know what the king was thinking. | |
| 聖靈幫助艾蒙了解拉摩那王心裡的想法， | |
| Ammon explained that he was not the Great Spirit. | |
| 艾蒙於是向國王解釋，他並不是那位偉大的靈， | |
| He was a man. | |
| 他只是一個人。 |
| The king offered Ammon anything he wanted if he would tell him what power he had used to defeat the robbers and to know the king’s thoughts. | |
| 國王願意給艾蒙任何東西，只要艾蒙說明他是用什摩力量打敗強盜、以及他是怎麼知道國王的想法的。 |
| Ammon said the only thing he wanted was for King Lamoni to believe what he would say. | |
| 艾蒙說他只希望拉摩那王能相信他的話。 | |
| The king said he would believe everything Ammon told him. | |
| 國王說他願意相信艾蒙告訴他的一切。 |
| Ammon asked King Lamoni if he believed in God. | |
| 艾蒙問拉摩那王相不相信神， | |
| The king said he believed in a Great Spirit. | |
| 國王說他相信有一位偉大的靈。 |
| Ammon said that the Great Spirit is God, that he created everything in heaven and on the earth, and that he knows people’s thoughts. | |
| 艾蒙說，那位偉大的靈就是神，祂創造了天上撼地上所有的事物，也知道我們的思想。 |
| Ammon said people were created in God’s image. | |
| 艾蒙說，人是照著神的形象造的， | |
| He also said God had called him to teach the gospel to Lamoni and his people. | |
| 他還說，神召喚他教導拉摩那和他的人民福音。 |
| Using the scriptures, Ammon taught King Lamoni about the Creation, Adam, and Jesus Christ. | |
| 艾蒙用經文教導拉摩那王有關創造、亞當以及耶穌基督的事。 |
| King Lamoni believed Ammon and prayed to be forgiven of his sins. | |
| 拉摩那王相信了艾蒙，並開始祈求神寬恕他的罪。 | |
| Then he fell to the ground and appeared to be dead. | |
| 然後他就倒在地上，就像死了一樣。 |
| Servants carried the king to his wife and laid him on a bed. | |
| 僕人將國王抬到他的妻子那裡，把他放在床上。 | |
| After two days the servants thought he was dead and decided to bury him. | |
| 兩天以後，僕人都認為他已經死了，決定將他埋葬。 |
| The queen did not believe that her husband was dead. | |
| 王后不相信她的丈夫已經死了， | |
| Having heard of Ammon’s great power, she asked him to help the king. | |
| 她聽說艾蒙有很大的能力，於是請求他救救國王。 |
| Ammon knew Lamoni was under the power of God. | |
| 艾蒙知道拉摩那在神的力量之中， | |
| He told the queen that Lamoni would awaken the next day. | |
| 就告訴王后，拉摩那會在第二天甦醒。 |
| She stayed by Lamoni’s side all night. | |
| 她整晚都守在拉摩那的床邊。 | |
| The next day Lamoni got up and said he had seen Jesus Christ. | |
| 第二天拉摩那醒了，他說他看到了耶穌基督。 | |
| The king and queen were filled with the Holy Ghost. | |
| 國王和王后都被聖靈充滿。 |
| Lamoni taught his people about God and Jesus Christ. | |
| 拉摩那教導他的人民有關神和耶穌基督的事， | |
| Those who believed repented of their sins and were baptized. | |
| 相信的人都悔改了他們的罪，也接受了洗禮。 |
